Arijit Karati

Biography

Arijit Karati is an Associate Professor at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan. He leads the Cryptology and Network Security Laboratory (CANSEC Lab) at NSYSU. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering (CSE) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dhanbad, India, in 2018. From 2018 to 2020, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of CSE, NSYSU. His current research focuses on designing classical and post-quantum cryptographic protocols and their applications to C-V2X, cloud/edge computing and IoT.

Dr. Karati has published over 55 articles in international journals and conferences. Besides, he has served as a session chair, given invited talks at several conferences, and actively contributes as a reviewer/TPC member for multiple highly reputed venues. Dr. Karati was the recipient of the 2025 IEEE Tainan Section Best Young Professional Member Award, 2024 NSYSU Excellent Faculty Award in Academic Research, 2023 NSTC FutureTech Award, and 2019 NSTC Postdoctoral Researcher Academic Research Award. 

Dr. Karati is a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is associated with various IEEE societies, including IEEE Computer Society (CS), IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS), IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES). He is an alumnus of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (RKMV), Belur, India.
